Hi all,
Things are going very very well.
I have created the URL shortening script and its working brilliantly. I have added some validation to ensure the entered URL is valid.
I have the URL’s linked to a database which records clicks and when last time it was clicked, The IP of the user at the time the url was created Date it was created etc.
Now I all I have to do is create Users page for when your logged in. This is where it will display your urls etc.
I then need an admins page to display all URLS. and all Members etc.
At this point I will wipe the database and then allow people to register and start using.
Once this is all done I will then look in to sharing ability, Twitter, Facebook etc. I think this is the point I will get stuck with it but I shall get there in the end.
So, Thanks for visiting us here.

That’s very good, well done! I currently use goo.gl and aafter.com…… looking for your service.

@Jenese Thanks for your comment. I like the sounds of goo.gl but unfortunately Google URL Shortener is currently available for Google products and not for broader consumer use. So I cant use it.
Never looked at aafter.com either. I may take a look soon.
